01 What types of warehouses can SlotMyDC support?

SlotMyDC supports conventional rack and shelving, bulk storage, forward-pick areas, case, each, layer and pallet-pick operations, Vertical Lift Modules, AS/RS, and other automated or goods-to-person storage systems.

02 Can we begin with a pilot?

Yes. A pilot can focus on a selected warehouse area, product family, picking method, or operational challenge so you can evaluate the recommendations and potential return before expanding the program.

03 How is SlotMyDC priced?

Pricing is based on facility size and complexity, the number of locations or items included, the analysis required, and whether the engagement is a one-time project or an ongoing managed service. Pilot programs are available for a selected warehouse area, product family, or operation.

04 How often should a warehouse be reslotted?

The right frequency depends on product turnover, seasonality, promotions, inventory changes, and new-item activity. Some operations benefit from monthly or quarterly recommendations, while more stable facilities may require less frequent review.

05 Does SlotMyDC require personal or customer information?

No personally identifiable information is required for standard slotting analysis. SlotMyDC typically uses product, inventory, location, dimensional, and transaction information.

06 What data is required?

Most projects begin with item-master information, product dimensions, inventory data, order or pick history, current location assignments, and a warehouse layout. We help validate the information and identify any critical data gaps.

07 Does SlotMyDC integrate with our WMS or ERP?

Yes. SlotMyDC can begin with standard Excel or CSV extracts from your WMS or ERP. More automated data-transfer options can be evaluated for ongoing programs, and a major systems implementation is not normally required to start.

08 Do we have to operate the software ourselves?

No. SlotMyDC can be provided as an expert-managed service. Our team performs the analysis and delivers recommendations, move sheets, visualizations, and management reporting while incorporating your facility-specific operating requirements.
